An excellent read! The best part of this book is that it does not force the author’s perspectives as the ‘gospel’. I could relate to many aspects of this book as I share similar background with the author albeit different routes. Reading how Kyei viewed opportunities and overcame challenges, I picked some practical nuggets on navigating life’s uncertainties, defining success my terms and winning where it matters.

Brilliantly written. Wow! I grew up in Ghana and after my 1st degree, I immigrated to the U.S. This book, in so many ways, tells my story and that of many others.
Read this book and your conclusion will mimic mine – It is brilliantly written by a brilliant mind. And adequately portrays growing in Ghana, immigrating to the U.S., and the ups and downs accompanying such. Truly “Life in progress”.

The author own his story (warts and all) and it captivates as he takes readers on a vivid journey and adventure across multiple continents, cultures and experiences. Kyei Amoako keeps it real and this book gave me a gift to the end. Bravo !!!
I rate this book as E for Everyone. The kind of book you read out loud by the fire place with the family when you can’t find jack to watch on Netflix. I wish it was on audio book! A mural amplification of life and living. MUST READ FOR SURE!
Captivating! This book gives you a glimpse into the life of an ambitious young immigrant who is motivated and treads the waters to make a success put of himself in America. Parts of his story is very relatable to a lot of young educated immigrants and what they have to endure to get settled in abroad. You’ll not put this book down once you pick it up.
A Must Read! I like how the author chronicles his journey from Ghana to America, bringing us along and showing how his perspectives evolved. It’s refreshing that he shared his challenges, fears, failures, successes and hopes, and then reminds us that each of us has to define what winning means to us. A must read.
